What is coderise?

Coderise was born in Colombia in 2012 with the objective to empower teenager trough technology and entrepreneurship with the goal to increase their employability opportunites and academic achivements.

Coderise is an 8 week program, 8 hours per week. Program sessions include workshop and guests to share their experiences in technology and entrepreneurship. At the end of the program all participants present a project to show their acquire skills.

In 2014 The Virginia Gildersleeve International Fund granted Woment in Technology Perú some funding to execute this special edition of Coderise, which is exclusively for girls to help ease the gender gap in technology.

Week 1 – Coderise4Girls

Saturday the 10th on January was the date for the Coderise4Girls was kicked off. In this short meeting parents and student got some more detail information on the program and also the IT & Strategy Director of Microsoft Perú delighted us with an inspirational talk on why technology is so important. The main focus on the week was to get to know better each and everyone of the girls and also letting them express their motivation to be involved in the program.
