Code Rise for Girls – Grant Awarded!

Code Rise for Girls – Grant Awarded!

With great excitement, we would like to tell you that we have been awarded one more grant!

VGIF (Gildersleeve International Fund) provides small grants for grassroots projects that empower women and girls in developing countries. They make an annual calling for “Grant Seekers” and for the past cycle and, along with Andrea Cornejo co-founder of Code Rise, the proposal for Code Rise For Girls was presented!

And today we have been notified that the grant was conceded for this amazing project =)

We would like to thank greatly to Jessica Freundt from Intel, Rosario Robinson from the Anita Borg Institute and Naseem Ehsan from MentorMe, since they were asked for references and were kind enough to answer timely and with super cool letters :)

Let’s celebrate! Because really really cool things are coming =)

  1. Good projects that will make a great difference to the lives of the target women and girls and thereby the community at large will get the selection call, and it is amazing that such projects are immediately seen to be meritorious and deserving by all in the Project Grants Committee. A great Year ahead for you women in Peru.
